Your dollhouse can’t have a Valentine’s Day without candy hearts! I have a free mini conversation hearts printable so you can make these little boxes of adorableness for your sweet scene.

Valentine’s Day is one of those love it or hate it holidays. I was never a huge fan of the holiday, but I loved it as a kid. I didn’t start hating it until I got older! Then I started to love it again when I had kids of my own.
I was always fond of making my own valentines cards, but I quickly gave that up when I was trying to get all 3 kids to each make 20-some odd valentines day cards. Store bought it is!
Now I may be dating myself, but we used to make our own mailboxes for our valentines using old shoe boxes. I still remember hunting for a nice big one in my mom’s closet then covering it with paper, glue, glitter and lots and of course, lots of hearts!

For this little Valentine’s Day scene, I knew I had to include a mini shoe box, decorated with hearts for the tiny cards I printed out. And of course I had to include the classic Valentines candy, conversation hearts.
Those little chalky candies with the cheesy sayings on them always make me nostalgic. They tasted awful way back then, but now you can get better flavors and even custom sayings.
Running home from school with my box of sugar and sweet notions is one Valentine’s memory that still makes me smile. I’d open the box, spill out my loot and read all the nice messages (and creepy ones!) that I received from my classmates.

If you have a bit of patience, keen eyes and the will to make these candy boxes, I have 3 different designs for you to assemble yourself. I suggest adding glue with a toothpick and make the folds using a straight edge.
My tiny heart candies are made with polymer clay. I found the mold on Etsy a few years ago, but the store (Ah La Molds) is no longer open. There are a number of other sellers who have silicone heart and candy molds for you to make your own treats with polymer clay or resin.

Here are the stores that I found for you:
- These mini heart molds are super cute, but a little on the large size.
- This mini chocolate candy mold would be perfect for a heart box of chocolates!
- Here are nail art molds that could easily be used for miniature candies.
- I can’t quite tell the size of the hearts in this mold, but it might work.
You can also make a few tiny hearts on your own, bake them and then make your own silicone mold.

You can find the free mini conversation hearts printable here. This is a high resolution file. Even though I printed it using my techniques for printing miniatures in high resolution, the quality of the print is probably from my printer (I have an Epson ET-3750). It is a never ending battle miniaturists face.
And I also have a free mini shoe box printable here to hold all of your mini Valentines.
I have a tutorial on how I made the mini heart trees in another post, as well as how to make miniature cookies from polymer clay. I also have another tutorial on how I made the miniature valentines cake from polymer clay.
I seriously enjoyed creating this little scene way more than I thought I would. Nostalgia is funny that way, isn’t it?

Hi Lucy!
Thank you! They were a little bit of a pain to make but I’m happy with how they turned out.
